Q. What is the cost of your courses and how does your cost compare with other colleges and universities?
A. Our course tuition is $825.00. On average, most colleges and universities charge $1500 per graduate level course PLUS numerous other fees and charges.
Q. Will I be able to transfer credits from the courses I take through the Maine Educators' Consortium, to my Master's Program at another college?
A. Graduate credits are awarded by Endicott College, accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, and therefore should qualify for credit transfer. However, transfer of credit is permitted solely at the discretion of the accepting institution. It is the student's responsibility (prior to registration) to confirm whether or not credits earned by Endicott College, via the Maine Educators’ Consortium, will be accepted by another institution.
Q. How will I be able to manage the course work while teaching full time?
A.We know how busy you are!! Our courses are designed to allow you to receive credit for time you spend in your classroom/educational setting. Our goal is to give you information, material , and projects that you can then take back to the classroom to use. Our courses are modeled after the "Make it and take it" design.
Q. How and when will I receive my course grade.

Q. Will my grade come as an "official" transcript?
A. Your grade will come, by mail, as an official grade. If you need an official transcript, which the Maine Department of Certification requires for initial certification, you will need to request one from Endicott College -cost is approximately $6.00 http://www.endicott.edu/Academics/Registrar/RegistrarSubTranReqIns.aspx
Q. What do you mean by "On-line learning will be held asynchronously"?
A. "Asynchronous" means communication doesn't happen at the same time. In asynchronous settings an instructor will communicate with students by "posting" a discussion topic for students to explore and respond to. Students read the instructors communication at their leisure and respond with their own postings (within a specified time limit). Students and instructor do not need to be "online" at the same time as discussions will be conducted via "postings".
Q. Can you explain how your
Independent Self-Paced Modules work?
A. Our "independent self paced courses" run in 8-10 week increments (8 weeks during the summer months). Within a week of the course starting date, students who have completed the registration process will be emailed the online classroom "site" where weekly assignments, reading, etc will be posted along with a "drop" box for submitting completed assignments. In lieu of the weekly assignments, a student may choose to write up a project for their own personal classroom. Students may submit their work weekly, or submit all of thier work the last week of class. Students will have 8- 10 (8 in the summer) weeks in which to complete the course. Your course instructor will be available, via email, throughout the entire course for questions, clarifications, etc. Within two-three weeks of the course ending date, students will receive their official “grade report” in the mail from Endicott College.
Textbooks are not included in the price of the course. It is the responsibility of the student to purchase their textbook for the first week of class.
Online optional "meeting" rooms maybe available for discussions, questions, feedback etc.
Please Note: We strongly encourage students to send in their work at least once a week - we know how easy it is to get distracted and how frustrating it is to end up with everything due the last week.
*Once course material has been sent to a student, refunds will not be issued. Students not completing a course within the ten week time (eight weeks in the summer months) period will receive a failing grade for the course.
